Sorry to hear life is slower than you’d wish in Kisumu, but perhaps there is something to be learned from embracing life more gradually. I feel frustrated sometimes with the fast-paced American way of life. It might be nice to stop and smell the roses once in a while.
The Urban Livelihoods porgram sounds incredible! It sounds like the kind of work done by Jaqueline Novogratz, one of my biggest inspirations. I’m sure you’re making a difference, slowly, but surely. Do not be discouraged!
